Magma is expresses the macrocosm and microcosm perspective which is the schema of seeing the same patterns reproduced in all levels of the cosmos. Patterns are identical from the universe-level down to the smallest scale (microcosm or sub-sub-atomic). The human body has a beginning, middle, and end in time, hence human life is spent in a microcosm. The macrocosm transcends individuals’ particular experiences in the universal scale. The slogan was “As above, so below.” recapitulates the relationship between the little world of humans and the greater world of the macrocosm. This relationship bolster the divine birth right of kings and the idea that there is a place, a natural hierarchy for everyone. Knowledge of the macrocosm draws us out of our little lives before the grandeur of nature, the rise and fall of human history, the development of science, and the ability for mankind to integrate the great and the little into a life, appreciating our role in the grander scheme of life.
