Temple explores the sublime and the transcendence in the human body. I deconstruct images of my body into geometrical tiles and fragments, using my body to mimic architecture structure of generic places of worship. My choice of medium using alternative methods of photography, light emulsion, salt printing and cyanotype printing, chemigrams, photograms, and the rawness of the material opens up doors to experiment abstract spirituality.
Due to the name of my working medium, alternative photoimaging, my practice will naturally be an experimental approach. I do not aim to achieve pristine near perfect print, but I do hope to get abstract print capturing the sublime. I will be experimenting on different mediums, glass, transparencies, tiles and etc which will direct the outcome through a partially intuitive route.
